My experience over the past two weeks has been great and challenging. It has been great because I had the opportunity to put into practice everything I learned during training, which is exciting. However, it also became challenging when I realised the need to be more proactive and work at a faster pace to meet deadlines.

By my second week, I had adapted, put in more effort, and ensured that all my tasks were completed and submitted well before deadlines. It has also been a learning experience in understanding my employer’s expectations and business operations.

Working with an international company has been an amazing experience. It has given me insight into the beauty of intercultural relationships and has allowed me to see the world from a whole new perspective.

I am incredibly grateful to Hire Africa for this amazing opportunity to work with The Serve Network, I truly do not take it for granted. I am also thankful for this connection, I believe it was no coincidence that I was paired with a Christian platform which feels so intentional to me.

These first two weeks have been amazing. I’ve always imagined having an employer who is kind, supportive, and creates a comfortable working environment, and that’s exactly what I’ve found in Esther. As someone who tends to be quite anxious, I was nervous about starting, especially when I wasn’t getting the best results from my first task. I reached out to my employer, and her response completely reassured me. She was patient, understanding, and genuinely happy to help, always taking her time to provide more clarity.

Beyond the work itself, what excites me most is the opportunity for growth. Esther is eager to help me develop my skills in graphic design and video editing which is something I’ve always wanted to do. She’s even invited me to be part of exciting projects. I’m both nervous and excited about it!

This opportunity has already made a huge impact on my confidence, growth, and overall outlook and I can’t wait to see how much more I grow in the coming weeks.

In the first two weeks, I had challenges meeting up with the demands of my employer’s business. However, as I progressed, I learned how to navigate the pressure and adapt to the expectations of the role. This experience has significantly improved my time management skills and my ability to work efficiently under deadlines.

Working across different cultures has been an invaluable addition to my professional exposure. It has broadened my perspective, enhanced my communication skills, and helped me better understand diverse work environments.
